Prime Video has unveiled the trailer of its upcoming MX Original ‘Ishqa Ishqa’, a dark romantic thriller that explores the blurred lines between love, obsession and control. Written by Rajesh Bachchani and directed by Amit Kumar Jha, the series stars Helly Shah, Satyajeet Dubey and Anushka Kaushik in pivotal roles.
As per the press release, ‘Ishqa Ishqa’ follows Kabir, a rising author caught between two very different forms of love — one that offers him peace and another that fuels his chaos. Produced by Moving Images Studios Pvt. Ltd., the series explores emotional conflict, possessiveness and the desire for freedom as Kabir finds himself caught in an increasingly complicated relationship.
The trailer introduces Arohi, played by Helly Shah, Kabir, played by Satyajeet Dubey, and Suhani, played by Anushka Kaushik. Their lives become intertwined in an emotional conflict where love begins to take very different forms.
For Arohi, love means having Kabir completely, leaving little room for distance, doubt or choice. Kabir, on the other hand, finds something he has long been missing in Suhani — stability, trust and emotional clarity. But Arohi’s return threatens to pull him back into the intensity that has shaped both his relationship and his identity as a writer.
As Kabir finds himself caught between the two women, they begin to represent opposing forces in his life — chaos and calm, possession and freedom, and the love that inspires him versus the love that could save him. With ‘The Dare’ setting the rules and emotions turning into a psychological game, the series raises an unsettling question: when does love cross the line and become unhealthy obsession?
Speaking about the series, Amogh Dusad, Director and Head of AVOD Content, Prime Video India, said that ‘Ishqa Ishqa’ explores what happens when love becomes intertwined with obsession, control and the fear of letting go. He added that the series is built around characters who are constantly pulled between chaos and calm, with the performances of Helly Shah, Satyajeet Dubey and Anushka Kaushik bringing the intense emotional dynamic to life.
Helly Shah, who plays Arohi, described her character as someone who loves Kabir with absolute intensity and sees little difference between love and possession. She said Arohi is intelligent, strategic and deeply emotional, with both vulnerability and a dangerous side, making the character unpredictable.
Satyajeet Dubey, who plays Kabir, said his character is a sensitive person who finds himself trapped in a situation that becomes increasingly difficult to escape. While Suhani brings peace and emotional clarity into his life, Arohi’s intense presence continues to pull him back, leaving Kabir struggling to find a way forward.
Anushka Kaushik, who portrays Suhani, described her character as grounded and emotionally aware, with a clear understanding of what she wants from a relationship. Suhani believes that love should come with trust and space, while her quiet strength becomes increasingly important as the story progresses.
With love turning into a battle of wills, ‘Ishqa Ishqa’ goes beyond a conventional love triangle to explore the complicated relationship between love, identity and control. As Kabir is pulled between Arohi’s consuming intensity and Suhani’s sense of stability, every choice carries a consequence and the distinction between being loved and being possessed begins to disappear.
‘Ishqa Ishqa’ will begin streaming from October 7, 2026, for free on Prime Video and the MX Player Android app, refreshed with a new identity as MX Player by Prime Video. The service is available across mobile devices, Connected TVs, the Amazon shopping app, Prime Video and Fire TV.
