Netflix has released the trailer for the fourth season of its political drama series ‘The Diplomat’. The new season will start streaming on October 15.
According to Netflix, the new season will continue to follow US Ambassador Kate Wyler, played by Keri Russell, and her husband, Hal Wyler, played by Rufus Sewell. Their personal and professional lives become more complicated as tensions between the UK and US increase.
The trailer shows President Grace Penn, played by Allison Janney, and Hal Wyler involved in an attempt to steal Russia’s most powerful weapon. Kate also questions the Penn administration over a covert military operation carried out in an allied country.
The new season will also focus on Kate, Hal, Grace and First Gentleman Todd Penn, played by Bradley Whitford. The four characters will be at the centre of the new season as their professional and personal lives become closely connected.
The trailer hints at more political power struggles, dramatic twists and tensions between the main characters. ‘The Diplomat’ Season 4 will premiere on Netflix on October 15.
