CNN-News18, in partnership with Firstpost, will host ‘BRICS Dialogues’ in New Delhi on September 11.The event will bring together ministers, policymakers, business leaders, economists and experts to discuss the future of BRICS and India’s role in the Global South.

According to a CNN- News18 press release from Mumbai today, the event will take place ahead of the 18th BRICS Summit in India. This year’s theme is ‘Bharat’s Moment in the Global South’. The discussions will focus on BRICS, India’s global partnerships, economic growth and the changing world order.

The programme will discuss important topics such as trade, technology, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, space and strategic partnerships. Speakers will also discuss how the growing BRICS group could affect global power and give a stronger voice to developing countries.

Union Ministers Jyotiraditya Scindia and Dr Jitendra Singh will be among the key speakers. The programme will also feature Javed Ashraf, Amitabh Kant, Ram Madhav, Dr Saurabh Garg, Shashi Tharoor, Manish Tewari, Ashok Kantha, Sanjay Bhattacharyya, Jeffrey Sachs and Jim O’Neill.

The event will also have discussions on business and trade, India’s relations with BRICS countries and the future of the group. A special Gen Z session titled ‘BRICS: Tomorrow’s Leaders’ will also be part of the programme.

Rahul Shivshankar, Editorial Affairs Director, CNN-News18, said the event will bring together important voices to discuss the changes taking place in global politics, technology and trade and their impact on India and the Global South.
