Network18 has expanded Mihir Bhatt’s role as Chief Content Officer for Branded Content. According to Network18, Bhatt will lead Branded Content initiatives across the News18 Studio, EBN and ILC teams.
Mihir joined Network18 in April as the Chief Content Officer for News18 Studio. With his expanded role, he will now take responsibility for branded content initiatives across these three teams.
According to the announcement, Mihir has experience in creating marquee intellectual properties (IPs) and developing new revenue opportunities. In his new role, he will support Mitul and Smriti while continuing to report to Shiv for the News18 Studio business.
As part of the new structure, a part of the central ideation team led by Rahul Thagele will move to work directly with Mihir. The team will work closely with the Studios to improve coordination between ideas and their execution.
The move is aimed at creating a single flow from the initial idea to its implementation. Network18 expects this structure to improve collaboration between the teams and help reduce turnaround times.
With this expanded responsibility, Mihir will have a larger role in Network18’s Branded Content business while continuing to report to Shiv for the News18 Studio business.
