The BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) Season 5 has entered the Playoffs, with 16 teams competing for the remaining 10 spots in the Grand Finals.
Organised by NODWIN Gaming, the tournament has already seen six teams qualify directly for the Grand Finals. iQOO Team Tamilas topped the Super Weekend leaderboard with 460 points. Elite Nova Esports, iQOO SOUL, Nebula Esports, Gladiators Esports and IRIS MYTH are the other five teams that have qualified.
According to a NODWIN Gaming press release from New Delhi today, the Playoffs will be held from August 31 to September 2. Six matches will be played each day, starting at 3:30 PM IST. The top 10 teams will qualify for the Grand Finals, which will take place from September 4 to 6.
The Playoffs also include iQOO Orangutan and GodLike Esports. Both teams recently competed at the Esports World Cup and qualified for the Grand Finals of the PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC).
BGMS Season 5 has crossed 20 million views and more than 7 million watch hours. The tournament has also recorded peak concurrent viewership of over 220,000, including watch parties.
Team Apex Gaming’s Hydro is currently leading the eliminations chart with 198 eliminations and is also at the top of the MVP standings. Vasista Esports and Gladiators Esports have recorded the most WWCDs, with 11 wins each.
The Grand Finals will have 16 teams in total. Six teams have already qualified, while the remaining 10 will come through the Playoffs. They will compete for the BGMS Season 5 title and a share of the Rs 1 crore plus prize pool.
