GlobalM, Lamhas partner to expand IP broadcast services

GlobalM and Lamhas Satellite Services have partnered to expand managed IP-based broadcast services across India.

Under the partnership, Lamhas will use GlobalM’s GMX1 technology at new data centre facilities in Mumbai and New Delhi. The facilities will provide local infrastructure for broadcasters and media companies.

According to a GlobalM official announcement today, the new facilities will support live news, sports events and permanent broadcast services. They will help broadcasters manage video transport, routing, processing and distribution through IP-based technology.

Lamhas currently provides managed broadcast and media services to more than 250 Indian and international broadcasters. The company has been expanding its services from traditional satellite broadcasting to IP and cloud-based video distribution.

GlobalM’s GMX1 platform will help Lamhas manage media routing, distribution, processing and monitoring through a single system. The new facilities will also provide additional capacity for live news and sports coverage.

The partnership will be showcased at IBC2026 in Amsterdam, where GlobalM will demonstrate its GMX software defined media platform.

Amazing and grim battle for survival. Guess it will end up in Supreme Court. All that NCLT asked Zee to do was to file a reply to Invesco petition for a EGM. Now this is getting too serious.
