Network18 is strengthening its focus on young talent through two campus hiring programmes NextGen Young Leaders Program (NYLP) and Aarambh.
According to a Network18 press release from New Delhi today, the two programmes have brought 51 young professionals into Business, Editorial, Technology and Product roles.
Network18 said the initiatives are aimed at building a strong pipeline of future-ready professionals and developing the next generation of media leaders.
NYLP focuses on graduates from leading management institutes, while Aarambh reaches out to graduate campuses across India. The programmes are designed to bring in talent from different academic and geographical backgrounds.
Participants begin with a week-long onboarding programme covering Network18’s business, culture and operations. The programme includes leadership interactions, newsroom exposure, business sessions and cross-functional learning.
After the induction, participants receive mentorship and work on real business assignments while gaining exposure to different functions. This approach is aimed at helping them develop practical skills and business knowledge.
Sanchayan Paul, Chief Human Resource Officer, Network18, said the organisation believes its future depends on identifying and developing young talent.
He added that the two programmes provide participants with mentorship, industry exposure and opportunities to learn from senior leaders.
Network18 also highlighted the diversity of the programmes, noting that 60 percent of the 51 young professionals selected are women.
Through NYLP and Aarambh, Network18 aims to create more opportunities for young professionals while building a strong and diverse talent pipeline for the future of the media industry.
