Netflix has announced that it will start offering short-form videos from leading digital publishers on its platform, giving members access to a wider variety of content beyond movies and TV shows.
According to an official Netflix announcement on Tudum, the new videos will cover topics such as entertainment, food, travel, fashion, lifestyle, design and wellness.
The content will range from short clips of around three minutes to episodes lasting up to 20 minutes.
The lineup includes videos from well-known publishers and brands such as BuzzFeed Studios, Conde Nast, Hearst Magazines, People Inc., Tastemade and PMX brands, including Variety, Billboard, Rolling Stone, The Hollywood Reporter and IndieWire.
Netflix said the videos will be available directly from the homepage, allowing members to discover and watch popular digital content without leaving the platform.
The rollout has begun in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. Other countries will be added to the rollout over a period of time.
The streaming platform said it plans to add more digital publishers and partners in the future as it continues to expand its content library and offer members more viewing choices.
