Netflix’s romantic drama ‘Musafir Cafe’ has attracted 19.75 million unique viewers during its opening streaming window from July 24 to August 1, 2026, according to data released by Chrome DM COTT, India’s OTT audience measurement platform.
Based on Divya Prakash Dubey’s novel, the series stars Vikrant Massey, Vedika Pinto, and Mahima Makwana. The show performed strongly among young viewers, especially women.
Female audiences made up 61percent of the total viewership, with 11.96 million viewers, while male viewers accounted for 7.79 million (39percent ). The biggest audience segment was women aged 18–24, who contributed 4.98 million viewers, followed by women aged 25–35 with 4.21 million viewers.
Among male viewers, the 18–24 age group led with 3.82 million viewers, while the 25–35 segment recorded 2.71 million viewers.
State-wise, Maharashtra recorded the highest viewership with 5.12 million viewers, followed by Delhi NCR (3.93 million), Uttar Pradesh (3.12 million), Karnataka (1.61 million), and West Bengal (1.12 million). Other states together contributed 4.83 million viewers.
On the device front, 9.63 million people watched the series on mobile devices, while 4.26 million viewers watched on connected TVs (CTV). Around 5.86 million viewers watched the show across both mobile and TV, indicating strong engagement across multiple screens.
Commenting on the performance, Pankaj Krishna, Founder and CEO of Chrome DM, said ‘Musafir Cafe’ is different from many recent OTT releases because it has attracted a female-majority audience. He added that the strong response from women aged 18–35 shows Netflix’s romance-focused content is connecting well with young viewers, especially in metro and urban markets.
