Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali has expressed his gratitude to audiences as his latest film ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ completed 50 days of its theatrical release.
Starring Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Sharvari and Vedang Raina in key roles, the film was released in cinemas on June 12. According to a PTI report, the movie had a modest opening at the box office during its first week, but positive reviews and strong word of mouth helped it gain popularity among audiences and maintain its theatrical run.
Celebrating the milestone, Ali thanked viewers for supporting the film and giving it an extended run in theatres.
He said that completing 50 days in cinemas is a rare achievement for any film and expressed his appreciation towards audiences who connected emotionally with the story and encouraged others to watch it.
The filmmaker credited the audience’s response for creating an extraordinary word-of-mouth campaign, which helped the film grow steadily after its initial release.
