Prime Video India has partnered with South Korean entertainment studio CJ ENM to bring more Korean content to Indian audiences. Under the multi-year deal, Prime Video will add over 100 Korean shows to its platform over the next two years.
According to a Prime Video press release from Mumbai today,the partnership will include 26 new titles from CJ ENM, along with popular shows from the studio’s existing library. The upcoming lineup includes popular titles such as ‘Yumi’s Cells’ Season 3, ‘The Legend of Kitchen Soldier’ and ‘My Bias, My Boss’.
The new Korean shows will be available with English subtitles and dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, allowing more Indian viewers to access K-content.
The deal is an extension of the existing global partnership between Prime Video and CJ ENM. The collaboration aims to strengthen the presence of Korean dramas and shows on Prime Video India.
The lineup will also include popular CJ ENM titles such as ‘Dear X’, ‘Law in the City’, ‘Study Group’, ‘My Dearest Nemesis’, ‘Search: WWW’ and ‘Yumi’s Cells’ Seasons 1 and 2.
Prime Video India said the growing popularity of Korean content has encouraged the platform to bring more international stories to Indian audiences. CJ ENM also expressed excitement about expanding the reach of its Korean dramas in India through the partnership.
