Prime Video has released the first teaser trailer for its upcoming original film ‘Masterplan’, starring Stanley Tucci. The heist movie will premiere exclusively on the streaming platform on October 16 in more than 240 countries and territories.
According to a Prime Video press relase, the film follows a legendary thief, played by Stanley Tucci, who plans to steal the world famous Mona Lisa. To carry out the mission, he recruits two young strangers a skilled Italian cybercrime expert and a French explosives specialist. They later discover that they are siblings and that the mastermind behind the heist is their long lost father.
As the unlikely family prepares for one of the biggest art thefts ever planned, they must learn to work together despite their differences. The film combines action, suspense and family drama as the team attempts to pull off the risky mission.
Along with Stanley Tucci, the film stars Simona Tabasco and Victor Belmondo in key roles. Thomas Vincent directs the film and has also co-written the screenplay with David Wolstencroft. ‘Masterplan’ is co produced by Gaumont and Amazon MGM Studios, with filming taking place across France and Italy.
Prime Video said ‘Masterplan’ will be available to stream exclusively from October 16, with the newly released teaser offering viewers a first look at the film’s high-stakes heist and family drama.
