Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (Z) has appointed Sudeep Nagpurkar as its new chief sales officer social platforms, creator economy & partnerships. The appointment is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its digital business and expand monetisation across social media and the creator economy.
According to a Z Business report, Nagpurkar will be based in Noida and will report to Sandeep Mehrotra, chief operating officer advertisement revenue at Zee Entertainment. In his new role, Nagpurkar will focus on building strategic partnerships with social media platforms, creators, brands and advertisers. He will also work on developing new revenue opportunities and improving the monetisation of Zee’s digital content and assets.
The company said the growing creator economy and changing consumer behaviour are creating new business opportunities. As more brands look to connect with audiences through creators and digital platforms, Zee aims to build a stronger ecosystem that combines content, technology and partnerships.
Welcoming Nagpurkar to the company, Sandeep Mehrotra said the media industry is rapidly evolving, with content, technology and commerce becoming closely connected. He added that Nagpurkar’s experience in digital monetisation and strategic partnerships will help Zee strengthen its digital revenue business.
Nagpurkar said he is excited to join Zee at a time when the creator economy is growing rapidly. He said he looks forward to working with creators, platforms and advertisers to develop innovative monetisation models and unlock new growth opportunities.
Nagpurkar brings more than 16 years of experience across consumer technology, retail and FMCG sectors. Before joining Zee, he served as head of industry FMCG at Google India, where he led marketing transformation initiatives for leading consumer brands. He has also worked with National Instruments.
With this appointment, Zee aims to strengthen its presence in the fast growing creator economy and build a future ready digital monetisation ecosystem.
