Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited has secured a major milestone in its brand-building journey, winning 30 honours at the GEMA TV/Streaming India Awards 2026, including the prestigious Entertainment Brand of the Year (Regional) title. The achievement underscores the network’s growing influence in entertainment marketing, storytelling and audience engagement across television and digital platforms.
According to a ZEEL press release, the network received a total of 14 Gold and 15 Silver metals in addition to the top honour. The recognition highlights the company’s efforts to build strong entertainment brands through innovative campaigns, culturally relevant content and audience-focused storytelling.
Formerly known as Promax, the Global Entertainment Marketing Academy of Arts & Sciences (GEMA) Awards are regarded among the most respected honours in the global media and entertainment industry. The awards celebrate excellence in television, streaming and media marketing, recognising organisations that successfully combine creativity, strategy and cultural impact to engage audiences.
The recognition comes at a time when Zee continues to strengthen its entertainment portfolio under its renewed brand philosophy, ‘Aapka Apna Z’. Over the past year, the network launched more than 100 entertainment titles across its television and digital platforms. These included shows such as Tumse Tum Tak on Zee TV, Kamali on Zee Marathi, Annaya on Zee Kannada and Kaalipotka on ZEE5.
The awards recognised campaigns across several competitive categories, including Brand Promotion, Storytelling, Idea Craft, Design and Creative Execution. Winning entries spanned multiple Zee properties, including Zee TV, ZEE5, Zee Cinema, Zee Marathi, Zee Tamil and Bangla ZEE5.
Among the standout campaigns were the network’s rebranding initiative ‘Aapka Apna Z’, audience engagement efforts around ‘Jagadhatri’, the Mother’s Day x Dilfluencer campaign, the ‘Yere Yere Pausa Folk Remix’ collaboration, fan engagement initiatives linked to the 23rd Zee Cine Awards 2025, and promotional campaigns for ‘Abar Proloy 2’. The campaigns were recognised for effectively translating cultural insights into impactful storytelling and audience experiences.
Commenting on the achievement, Kartik Mahadev, Chief Marketing Officer – Zee & ZEE5, said,“Winning 30 metals at the GEMA Awards is a proud milestone for ‘Z’ and a testament to the creative ambition that powers our brands. These honours reflect the strength of our teams, whose creativity, craft, and collaboration continue to raise the bar in brand innovation and storytelling. As audiences evolve, our focus remains on creating culturally relevant experiences that build meaningful and lasting connections. I congratulate every team and creative partner behind this achievement, especially our OAP, Design, and Copy teams, who bring our brand experiences to life for consumers every day.”
The latest recognition further strengthens Zee’s position as one of India’s leading entertainment networks. As the media landscape continues to evolve, the company says it remains focused on developing innovative storytelling formats, strengthening audience relationships and creating entertainment experiences that resonate across regions, languages and platforms.
