JioCinema continued to break TATA IPL viewership records, with 44.9 crore people watching their favourite sporting event on the platform.
Viewers watched TATA IPL 2023 on mobiles, tablets, laptops/desktops, and Connected TVs via JioCinema’s multi-platform offerings.
This season, in particular, Connected TV adoption accelerated across the country, with more than 12.6 crore viewers logging on to JioCinema via their Connected TVs.
The average time spent per viewer per match on Connected TVs was 65 minutes, which was longer than the average time spent per viewer on linear TV.
According to BARC data, the reach of the TATA IPL on linear TV (including the final match) and out-of-home viewing for adults (age 15+) is 37 crore.
Out-of-home viewing includes viewers who are in restaurants or establishments and may or may not be actively watching the game.
The linear TV reach is 32.6 crore people when out-of-home viewing is excluded.
