Streaming service Prime Video yesterday said that the second season of its reality adventure series ‘007: Road to a Million’ will debut on its platform on August 22.
Inspired by the iconic world of James Bond, the second season of the UK Original show promises bigger thrills, heightened drama and a reinvented format, a press release said, according to a PTI report.
The eight-part competition series follows eight new pairs of everyday Britons as they undertake an epic journey across the globe, facing adrenaline-fueled challenges in pursuit of a one million pounds prize.
This season features eight dynamic duos from across the UK, all bound by gripping personal stories, unshakable bonds, and a shared hunger for adventure.
The participants are as follows:
- Dan (46)and Dylan (22) – A father-son duo from Kent aiming to heal past wounds. Dan, a cancer survivor and a UK Ministry of Defence civil servant, partners with his autistic son Dylan, a bartender ready to see the world.
- Cat (26)and Maiya (23) – Glamorous sisters from Chelsea, with Cat as a successful model and Maiya a barrister-in-training, ready to prove their strength and substance.
- Ricky (41)and Noddy (41) – Lifelong best friends from Kent and South London, born just hours apart. One’s a gas emergency manager, the other a construction operations lead — both bonded by a turbulent past and deep brotherhood.
- Shabina (50)and Sid (52) – A married couple from Essex, juggling sharp wit and playful competition. She’s in the civil service, he’s a London Underground ticket inspector.
- Asaad (32)and Jamilah (34) – Siblings from Newcastle, balancing parenthood and careers while chasing adventure. She’s a community relations manager, he’s a wind turbine engineer.
- Rob (57)and Alex (48) – Married for 25 years, this Camden-based couple brings brains and finesse. Rob is an entrepreneur and engineer, Alex a corporate finance advisor and ex-gymnast.
- Steven (53)and Shelley (51) – A couple from Bromley, London, embracing empty-nest life. He’s a cabbie with a thrill-seeking side, while she’s a housing officer who brings logic.
- Sam (34)and Luke (34) – Best friends from Bridlington and Manchester. Luke teaches English, while Sam, an amputee and charity worker, is a goldsmith-in-training and model.
From scaling Bangkok’s Sinn Sathorn Tower to braving sharks in the Bahamas and firing weapons in a Mexican hacienda, this season promises pulse-racing spectacles. But there’s a twist: each leg ends with a ‘Killer Question’, and the slowest pair could be eliminated.
Expect danger, emotion, drama, and one epic race to London where only one team walks away with £1 million.
