Shahid Kapoor will star in an upcoming action thriller film produced by Zee Studios and Siddharth Roy Kapur.
Rosshan Andrrews, known for Malayalam blockbusters such as ‘Salute’ and ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni’, will direct the film, which will begin production in the second half of 2023 and will be released in 2024, according to the producers.
The untitled film follows a brilliant but rebellious police officer as he investigates a high-profile case. As he digs deeper into the case, he discovers a web of deception and betrayal that leads him down a thrilling and dangerous path, a PTI report stated.
Kapoor expressed excitement about working on the film, which features action, thrills, drama and suspense.
“It’s an honour to be working with Zee Studios and Siddharth Roy Kapur, with whom I previously collaborated on ‘Haider’ and ‘Kaminey’. Rosshan Andrrews is a veteran filmmaker with an impressive Malayalam filmography.
“We’ve been working together for several months now, and it will be a pleasure to work with such a fantastic cinematic mind. I can’t wait to share this exhilarating, entertaining, and thrilling story with the world,” said the 42-year-old actor.
Andrrews stated that the film will be his Bollywood debut and that he is looking forward to working with an incredible team of professionals, the PTI report from Mumbai said.
“The combination of Shahid’s exceptional acting, Siddharth Roy Kapur’s expertise as a producer, and Zee Studios’ commitment to delivering ground-breaking content is truly inspiring. Their passion and dedication to the project have been instrumental in bringing the story to life.
“As a director, I aim to create an immersive cinematic experience that leaves audiences awed. I believe that this project has all the necessary elements to achieve that goal,” Andrrews said.
Shariq Patel, CBO at Zee Studios, said the movie promises to be a thrilling ride with an incredible directing, producing and acting talent behind it.
