US technology giant company Google is rolling out a new feature for the Google Meet users with a new customize background for the Google meets call using a video.
Google said that the support for the background video will be made available for those who use the Google Meet app on the web.
The support for the same is set to be rolled out on mobile devices in the coming months.
Recently, the tech company has been rolled out the three default videos- a classroom, a party, and a forest– and more options are set to be added to the library soon.
To use the video backgrounds for Google Meet, users will have to ensure that they are using Chrome version M87+.
The custom video support for Google Meet is being rolled out gradually starting June 7.
Google said in Workspace, “Custom backgrounds can help you show more of your personality, as well help hide your surroundings to maintain privacy. With the option of replacing your background with video, we hope this makes your video calls more fun.”
Recently, Google announced a major change to the interface of Google Meet video calls and the new UI aims to make settings and features more accessible.
