Zee Entertainment UK has been crowned ‘Media Brand of the Year 2025’ at the prestigious Arqiva British Asian Media Awards, solidifying its reputation as a powerhouse in the UK’s broadcasting industry. The recognition comes after a year of strategic expansion and groundbreaking initiatives, which have propelled Zee from a niche broadcaster to a mainstream media giant with a growing presence across the UK and Europe.
In 2024, Zee UK made major strides in content innovation and audience reach, spearheading the launch of Zee One UK—the country’s first fully English-dubbed Indian entertainment channel. This initiative bridged the gap for non-Hindi-speaking audiences, making Indian content more accessible than ever before. Another key milestone was the launch of Zee Punjabi, catering specifically to the 700,000-strong Punjabi diaspora in the UK. Available on major platforms including Sky and Virgin Media, Zee Punjabi has quickly become a go-to destination for Punjabi entertainment.
Beyond the UK, Zee Entertainment has been strengthening its European footprint, launching localized versions of Zee One in Germany and France. These channels bring Bollywood films and Indian TV series to European audiences, dubbed in local languages, broadening Zee’s global influence.
Parul Goel, Territory Head, Europe, Zee Entertainment, expressed pride in the achievement, stating, “We are incredibly honored to receive this recognition. Being named Media Brand of the Year underscores our relentless commitment to delivering high-quality, diverse content that resonates with audiences across the UK and Europe.”
Zee UK’s success has also been driven by aggressive marketing campaigns, which have taken over London’s transport network, digital billboards, and iconic locations such as Piccadilly Circus, significantly expanding the brand’s visibility beyond traditional South Asian audiences.
As part of India’s Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, the company now operates over 50 channels worldwide, reaching an astounding 1.3 billion viewers globally. With its latest accolade and continued expansion, Zee UK is well on its way to redefining the landscape of South Asian entertainment in the international market.
