Zee Telugu is set to bring the supernatural horror thriller ‘Shambhala’ to television audiences with its World Television Premiere this Sunday. Starring Aadi Sai Kumar in the lead role, the film— which earlier released in theatres last December— will now make its way to Telugu households with a special telecast on March 8 at 6 pm, exclusively on Zee Telugu.
Blending elements of science, superstition and ancient mysteries, ‘Shambhala’ promises an intense narrative layered with suspense and atmospheric storytelling. Directed by Ugandhar Muni, the film features an ensemble cast and explores a gripping storyline that unfolds in a remote village where unexplained events begin to spiral out of control.
Set in the 1980s, the story begins when a meteor crashes into a small village named Shambhala, triggering a wave of disturbing and unexplained incidents. The villagers soon start believing that the meteor has brought with it a mysterious force responsible for the growing misfortune surrounding them.
Amid rising fear and superstition, Vikram, a geoscientist played by Aadi Sai Kumar, arrives in the village to investigate the unusual phenomenon. An atheist by belief, Vikram approaches the situation with a scientific perspective, determined to uncover the truth behind the meteor’s impact and the strange occurrences linked to it.
However, as Vikram begins his investigation, a series of mysterious deaths shake the village further. The frightened residents begin to blame Vikram’s scepticism and his refusal to accept their traditions for the tragedies unfolding around them, deepening the tension between science and belief.
The film also stars Archana Iyer as the female lead, along with Swasika Vijay, Madhunandan, Ravi Varma, Meesala Laxman, Shiju Menon, Harsha Vardhan, Shiva Karthik and Shailaja Priya in key roles. Together, the cast brings to life a narrative driven by fear, faith and unanswered questions.
With its mix of supernatural suspense and investigative drama, ‘Shambhala’ explores themes of trust, betrayal and conspiracy, keeping viewers engaged as the story gradually unravels the mystery behind the meteor and the dark secrets hidden within the village.
The World Television Premiere of ‘Shambhala’ will air on Zee Telugu this Sunday, March 8, at 6 pm, offering audiences a chance to experience the chilling thriller from the comfort of their homes.
