Zee Telugu has lined up a festive programming slate for the Sankranthi weekend, bringing together a film premiere and a celebratory event show for its viewers. The channel will air the World Television Premiere of the comedy-drama ‘Mithra Mandali’ on Sunday, January 11, at 3.30 pm, followed by the Sankranthi special programme ‘Sankranthi Allullu Pandagaki Vastunnaru’ at 6 pm.
The line-up has been curated to blend light-hearted cinema with a high-energy festive show, catering to family audiences tuning in during the holiday weekend. The focus remains on relatable storytelling, popular faces, and entertainment that resonates with the spirit of Sankranthi.
Directed by Vijayender S, Mithra Mandali revolves around Chaitanya, played by Priyadarshi, and his close-knit group of friends—Satvik (Vishnu Oi), Abhi (Rag Mayur), and Rajeev (Prasad Behara). Their everyday lives take an unexpected turn when they cross paths with Swecha, portrayed by Niharika NM, the daughter of a politician. What begins as an attempt to help a friend with his love story soon snowballs into a series of misunderstandings and humorous situations that drive the narrative forward. The film features Priyadarshi, Niharika NM, Rag Mayur, Vishnu Oi, and Prasad Behara in key roles and is positioned as a youthful entertainer with a mix of comedy and emotion.
The festive mood continues with ‘Sankranthi Allullu Pandagaki Vastunnaru’, a special event programme hosted by Pradeep Machiraju and Sudheer. The show opens with filmmaker Anil Ravipudi interacting with the hosts, setting the tone for the evening, followed by a recreation of the popular “Mega Victory” song. Audience participation plays a key role, with viewers expressing their admiration for the hosts through performances, letters, and songs, while the chemistry and banter between Pradeep and Sudheer add to the celebratory feel.
Several themed segments are woven into the programme, including skits by DJ Kids that imagine humorous post-marriage scenarios of the hosts and a segment inspired by ‘Bhartha Mahasayulaku Vignapthi’. The event also features a special appearance by Ravi Teja, along with Dimple Hayati and Ashika Rangnath. Performances by Likitha and Pooja Nageshwar are part of the line-up, along with a comic horoscope segment by Irya. The programme concludes with appearances by Niddhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar, who come on stage to promote their upcoming film ‘The Raja Saab’.
Viewers can catch both the World Television Premiere of ‘Mithra Mandali’ and the Sankranthi special ‘Sankranthi Allullu Pandagaki Vastunnaru’ on Zee Telugu on January 11, promising a festive and entertaining evening for Telugu television audiences.
