Zee Tamil has unveiled a new marigold-inspired design interface, marking its 15th anniversary milestone.
Rooted in its brand promise of ‘Manadhal inaivom, maatrathai varaverpom’ (Bridging hearts and welcoming change), this transformation aims to embrace change while connecting with today’s consumers.
Zee Tamil‘s revamp of its on-screen TV experience is designed to optimize information delivery for maximum business impact. Supported by neuroscience, this design system seeks to captivate consumer attention, enhance memorability, boost viewer retention, solidify platform recall, and amplify brand partner visibility, offering a unique value proposition.
Kartik Mahadev, Chief Marketing Officer of ZEE’s Content SBU, emphasized that the refreshed Zee Tamil brand design pays tribute to the strength and dynamism of Tamil viewers. The marigold-inspired design signifies an auspicious new beginning, aligning with the channel’s goal of inspiring positive actions and outcomes. This transformation is part of Zee Tamil’s commitment to consistently deliver extraordinary experiences to its viewers.
Ramanagirivasan, Chief Channel Officer of ZEE Tamil, noted the channel’s robust connection with its audience over the past 15 years, driven by content that deeply understands consumer sentiments. He highlighted a significant increase in viewership share in Tamil Nadu (U+R), from 17% to an impressive 23%, over the last year, attributing it to a strategic overhaul of prime-time fiction programming. The channel aims to continue this momentum by enhancing the consumer experience through innovative tech-forward approaches.
Zee Tamil’s new design concept revolves around the core theme of ‘Vibrance,’ symbolizing the growing inner strength and confidence of contemporary India, represented through the visual metaphor called the ‘Circle of Spark.’ This metaphor ignites life’s most defining moments through inspiring stories and aspirational characters, embodying the channel’s commitment to engaging and empowering its audience.
