Zee Studios has announced an impressive slate of films for 2025, featuring a mix of high-profile projects across various genres and languages. With celebrated filmmakers, versatile actors, and compelling narratives, the lineup reaffirms the studio’s commitment to delivering diverse and impactful cinematic experiences, PTI reported from Mumbai.
The year kicks off with Sonu Sood’s directorial debut, ‘Fateh’, a gripping tale exploring cybercrime, set to release on January 10. Sharing the release date is ‘Game Changer’, a Tamil-Hindi multilingual project starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, directed by Shankar.
The much-anticipated ‘Emergency’, directed by and starring Kangana Ranaut, is scheduled for January 17. This historical drama revisits India’s controversial Emergency era imposed by Indira Gandhi from 1975 to 1977. The action-packed thriller ‘Deva’, featuring Shahid Kapoor, follows on January 31.
Zee Studios’ 2025 slate includes Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Kennedy’, a Mumbai-set police noir that gained global recognition at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. While its release date remains under wraps, expectations are high for the critically acclaimed film.
Other notable releases include the romantic drama ‘Loveyappa’, starring Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan, set for February 7, and ‘Dhadak 2’, a sequel to the 2018 hit, featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, releasing on February 28.
‘Phule’, a historic tale featuring Pratik Gandhi and Patralekhaa, will hit theaters on April 11. The lineup also features several regional projects, such as ‘Beauty’ (Telugu) and ‘Kingston’ (Tamil), both slated for March 7, along with ‘Nilai Varun’ (Tamil), releasing in March.
Zee Studios is also betting big on regional cinema, with movies like ‘Majaka’, marking Sundeep Kishan’s 30th film, and ‘Kaalidhar Laapata’ and ‘Shaunki Sardar’, showcasing its pan-India appeal.
“Zee Studios is proud to present a carefully curated lineup for FY25, blending compelling narratives with regional diversity to redefine Indian cinema. With this slate, we aim to innovate and create benchmarks in the entertainment industry,” the studio said in a statement.
With its 2025 slate, Zee Studios promises a dynamic year filled with gripping stories, star-studded performances, and diverse cultural narratives, solidifying its position as a trailblazer in Indian cinema.
