Zee Studios has announced February 5, 2027, as the theatrical release date for ‘Silaa’, an upcoming romantic action thriller directed by Omung Kumar and starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sadia Khateeb.
The makers also unveiled the film’s first poster, offering a glimpse into a story of love, revenge and mystery set against the landscapes of Kashmir and Vietnam.
The film combines romance, high-octane action and adventure, with Rane playing Virat, a man whose search for the woman he loves draws him into a world where survival becomes a central challenge.
Speaking about his role, Rane said ‘Silaa’ had been one of the most challenging and exciting projects of his acting career. He highlighted the physical and emotional demands of the character, describing Virat as a man driven by love who is forced to confront unexpected circumstances.
“What really drew me to this story was the fact that beneath all the action and adventure, it is about how far you are willing to go for someone who means everything to you,” Rane said.
Director Omung Kumar said the film aims to bring together romance, action, mystery and adventure while keeping its emotional story at the centre. He added that Rane brings intensity and physicality to Virat, while Khateeb lends strength and depth to her character, ‘Silaa’.
The film is presented by Z Studios and produced under the Blue Lotus Pictures and Stark Entertainment banner. The production team includes Zee Studios, Omung Kumar, Himanshu Tiwari, Ajay Singh, Dhananjay Singh and Vanita Garud Kumar, with Hemant Tiwari as co-producer.
‘Silaa’ is scheduled to release in cinemas on February 5, 2027.
