Zee Media Corporation Limited (ZMCL) has successfully concluded the first edition of its flagship esports tournament, Zee Media Arena of Champions, marking a significant step in the network’s expansion into India’s rapidly growing gaming and esports ecosystem. The inaugural season recorded strong participation, high viewership and a competitive finale, positioning the property as a notable new entrant in the country’s esports landscape.
According to a Zee Media press release, the tournament attracted more than 6,000 team registrations from across the country, reflecting the increasing depth of grassroots esports talent and the rising popularity of competitive gaming among digital-first audiences. The event progressed through 11 rounds of qualifiers and bracket stages, eventually culminating in a high-intensity Grand Finale featuring the top 12 teams.
After a closely contested final showdown, iQOO Total Gaming emerged as the champions of the Zee Media Arena of Champions. iQOO OGxTSG finished as runners-up, while DEVxREX secured the second runners-up position, underscoring the consistently high level of competition throughout the tournament. Adding to the finale’s highlights, iQOO TSGxKRISH was named Finals MVP for his standout individual performance in crucial moments.
Beyond competitive play, the tournament delivered strong digital traction. Over the course of its lifecycle, the Zee Media Arena of Champions generated more than 55 million views across digital streaming platforms and social media. The property also added over 55,000 new community members, indicating a growing appetite for professionally produced esports content and sustained audience engagement in India.
Commenting on the successful conclusion, Priyadarshan Garg, Chief Business Officer, Indiadotcom Digital Private Limited, a Zee Media company, said the Arena of Champions represents a strategic extension of Zee Media’s digital vision. He noted that the scale of participation, quality of competition and depth of engagement reaffirm esports as a powerful medium for community building and digital storytelling, particularly among India’s youth-driven audiences.
The tournament’s end-to-end execution was led by Glazer Games as the execution partner, managing tournament operations, competitive integrity and digital delivery.
