YouTube removes same Wi-Fi rule for TV viewing

YouTube has updated its TV viewing experience, allowing users to connect their phone with a TV without needing both devices to be on the same Wi-Fi network.

According to YouTube, users can use their phone as a companion device while watching YouTube on a smart TV. This allows them to control or interact with the content playing on the TV from their phone.

YouTube also provides an option to connect a phone with a TV using a TV code. This method allows the devices to be linked even when they are not connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

The change makes it easier for users to connect their phones with TVs and use the phone alongside the YouTube app on the television.

The update is part of YouTube’s effort to improve the way users watch and interact with content across phones and connected TV devices.

With the change, users can enjoy a simpler way to use their phones as companion devices while watching YouTube on their TVs.
