Yash’s action drama ‘Toxic’ earns Rs 108 cr on opening day

Yash-starrer ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ has made a strong start at the Indian box office, collecting Rs 108 crore net on its opening day.

According to a PTI report from Mumbai, the film, directed by Geetu Mohandas, released in theatres on Wednesday across India in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and other languages.

The reported collection of Rs 108 crore is for all languages except English.

The Kannada action drama, which has reportedly been made on a budget of more than Rs 500 crore, has also performed strongly in the Hindi market.

According to the makers, ‘Toxic’ earned Rs 55.4 crore net in Hindi on its first day. With this, the film has reportedly surpassed the opening-day collection of Yash’s earlier blockbuster ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, which earned Rs 53.95 crore net in Hindi on its first day.

Starring Yash in the lead role, ‘Toxic’ was among the most-awaited pan-India releases of the year.

Amazing and grim battle for survival. Guess it will end up in Supreme Court. All that NCLT asked Zee to do was to file a reply to Invesco petition for a EGM. Now this is getting too serious.
