Global advertising and marketing giant WPP has announced a major round of leadership appointments, reinforcing its strategy to deliver seamless client solutions and drive intelligent growth across its network.
The company confirmed that Devika Bulchandani will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer of WPP, while Laurent Ezekiel has been named Global CEO of Ogilvy Group and Executive Sponsor for WPP Open X. Meanwhile, Floriane Tripolino has been appointed CEO of WPP Open X, the bespoke agency team dedicated to The Coca-Cola Company.
According to a press release issued by the company, Bulchandani will oversee the commercialisation of WPP’s services and solutions globally, working closely with agencies, country managers, growth teams, and global client leaders. Her mandate is to deliver what WPP calls “intelligent growth” by creating frictionless integration of services across geographies and capabilities.
Bulchandani, who has led Ogilvy since 2021, is credited with modernising the network’s core capabilities and diversifying its client portfolio. Under her leadership, Ogilvy made history by becoming the first network to be ranked both Most Creative and Most Effective in the world for three consecutive years (2023–2025) on WARC’s Creative 100 and Effective 100 lists.
Her successor, Laurent Ezekiel, takes charge of Ogilvy Group at a pivotal moment. He will oversee its expansive business across advertising, PR, social and influence, consulting, health, and customer engagement. The Ogilvy Group also houses creative boutiques such as DAVID, INGO, Thjnk, Village Marketing, and Grey, which was integrated into the Ogilvy network earlier this year as part of a global realignment. Ezekiel previously served as CEO of WPP Open X for The Coca-Cola Company, where he steered the industry’s largest-ever global agency partnership.
Floriane Tripolino, who steps in as CEO of WPP Open X, will lead the next phase of its partnership with Coca-Cola following the renewal of their global contract in May 2025. Tripolino is credited with strengthening WPP’s relationship with Nestlé during her four years on the account, expanding the group’s media footprint and spearheading adoption of WPP Open’s integrated capabilities.
Commenting on the appointments, Cindy Rose, CEO of WPP, said the new leadership team reflects the company’s vision for growth and innovation. “Devika’s deep obsession with helping our clients grow and win will accelerate our growth across WPP. Laurent’s successful partnership with Coca-Cola and his creation of WPP Open X give him invaluable insight into the needs of our largest clients. And Floriane has demonstrated the ability to deepen relationships and deliver transformative solutions. These leaders embody the creative excellence and strategic vision that will define WPP’s next chapter.”
The leadership transition underscores WPP’s ambition to strengthen its global networks while doubling down on partnerships with some of the world’s most influential brands.
