The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a major commercial boost for the TATA Women’s Premier League, confirming new partnerships worth Rs.48 crore for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
The league, already regarded as the world’s biggest women’s cricket tournament, has secured the backing of prominent global and Indian brands in what is being seen as one of its strongest commercial expansions yet.
According to a WPL press release, ChatGPT and Kingfisher Packaged Drinking Water have joined as Premier Partners for the next two seasons, signalling a powerful endorsement of the league’s growing viewership, brand value and youth engagement. The partnerships reflect the league’s rising stature as a modern and fast-growing sports property appealing to diverse audiences.
The WPL has also strengthened its long-standing association with CEAT, which will continue as the Strategic Time-Out Partner, while Bisleri—a household name and one of India’s most trusted beverage brands—joins as the official Beverage Partner. They will take their place alongside existing Premier Partners Sintex and Herbalife, reaffirming the league’s expanding and dynamic commercial ecosystem. With TATA Group as the Title Partner, the WPL enters its next phase with a robust and high-value sponsorship lineup that mirrors its ambition and cultural impact.
Highlighting the significance of the new agreements, BCCI President Mithun Manhas said the confidence shown by leading global and Indian brands reflects the WPL’s “remarkable growth” and its position among the world’s most impactful sporting properties. Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia added that the new partners bring “exceptional value and diverse strengths,” underscoring the league’s commitment to excellence and world-class sports entertainment.
WPL Chairperson Jayesh George said the additions of ChatGPT, Kingfisher and Bisleri demonstrate the league’s strong connect with a new generation of fans, while the renewal of CEAT reaffirms the commercial value the league continues to generate for its partners. He noted that these collaborations will play a crucial role in shaping the long-term growth of women’s cricket and elevating the league’s reach in the coming editions.
