WION has launched the third edition of its flagship initiative, ‘Mission Sustainability’, bringing the spotlight back on India’s urgent climate challenges and the innovations shaping a greener future.
Scheduled for December 2, 2025, in New Delhi, the summit is set to gather leading thinkers, industry experts, policymakers and innovators under the theme, “No action not an option.”
The initiative aims to explore India’s progress in sustainability while addressing gaps that require collective and urgent attention.
According to the broadcaster, Mission Sustainability Season 3 will feature in-depth discussions on climate resilience, renewable energy, waste management, and the transition toward a circular economy. The platform also intends to push forward conversations on green mobility, especially the fast-evolving electric vehicle ecosystem and its role in shaping cleaner cities.
Highlighting the growing intensity of climate threats, Raktim Das, CEO of ZMCL, said extreme weather events, rising temperatures and threats to food and water security have made climate change “the defining challenge of our time.” He added that the mission is dedicated to driving meaningful dialogue, from responsible innovation to real-world climate solutions.
Rabin Sharma, Managing Editor of WION, said the third edition builds on the network’s commitment to fostering constructive conversations around sustainability. He emphasized that the summit is designed not only to address current environmental concerns but to inspire long-term, practical solutions that ensure future generations “inherit hope rather than crisis.”
This year’s edition will host over 20 distinguished panellists across multiple sessions focusing on some of the most critical environmental issues of the decade.
Discussions will include “Solving the Plastic Puzzle,” which looks at pollution and the need for stronger global cooperation; “Recycling for the Future,” centred on circular economy models; “Do Not Waste,” highlighting new-age waste-management innovations; “EVs: Electrifying the Global Ecosystem,” examining breakthroughs in green mobility; and “Alternative Energy: Models of Sustainability,” showcasing advancements in renewable energy.
With sustainability now firmly embedded in India’s development agenda, Mission Sustainability Season 3 reinforces WION’s role as a platform for climate leadership and forward-looking environmental action.
The summit aims to push policy, industry and communities toward a cleaner, more resilient future — reaffirming that in the fight against climate change, doing nothing is no longer an option.
