WhatsApp, owned by Meta, has begun to roll out a new feature to some iOS beta testers that allow users to search messages by date.
According to IANS, the new feature allows users to easily jump to a specific date within a conversation.
With the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.24.0.77 update, some beta testers can use this feature in their chats and groups.
If users want to see if the new feature has been rolled out to their account, they must use the search feature in a conversation.
If a calendar icon appears, it indicates that the feature is enabled on your WhatsApp account.
According to the report, the feature will be made available to more users in the coming weeks.
The messaging platform launched the ‘forward media with caption’ feature on iOS earlier this week, allowing users to forward images, videos, GIFs, and documents with a caption.
Some users were able to access the new feature after downloading the WhatsApp for iOS 22.23.77 update from the App Store.
Furthermore, if the user does not wish to forward the caption, a dismiss button is provided to remove the caption from the image before forwarding the message.
