Vzy Smart TV, part of the Dish TV Group’s connected entertainment portfolio, has crossed Rs.200 crore in cumulative sales within the first year of its launch, the company said in a press release.
According to a Dish TV India Limited press release ,the milestone comes as Dish TV Group expands its focus beyond its traditional DTH business and strengthens its presence in the connected entertainment and Smart TV market.
Vzy Smart TVs combine live television, OTT streaming, AVOD content and content discovery on a single platform. The TVs also allow users to access TV content without requiring a separate traditional set-top box.
According to the company, customers purchasing select Vzy Smart TV models can also get exclusive content benefits worth up to Rs.30,000.
The company said Vzy’s growth has been supported by Dish TV Group’s distribution network, retail partnerships and after-sales service, helping the brand expand across metropolitan markets as well as Tier II and Tier III cities.
Manoj Dobhal, CEO and Executive Director, Dish TV India Limited, said crossing Rs.200 crore in cumulative sales within the first year reflects the growing demand for connected entertainment among Indian consumers.He added that Vzy Smart TV is part of Dish TV Group’s broader strategy to build new opportunities beyond its core DTH business and strengthen its position in the connected entertainment space.
Sukhpreet Singh, Chief Revenue Officer, Dish TV India Limited, said consumers are increasingly looking for platforms that combine live television and streaming services. He added that the Rs.200 crore milestone provides a strong foundation for expanding the Vzy Smart TV proposition across markets.
The company said the growth also reflects rising Smart TV adoption and increasing consumer demand for integrated entertainment platforms that bring different content services together.
