Vishal Kaul has taken on a new leadership role as Senior Director and Head of Marketing for the Pro Kabaddi League (operated by Mashal Sports) at JioStar.
He assumed the position in November 2025 and is now based out of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, marking a significant step in his ongoing association with one of India’s most-watched sporting properties.
According to LinkedIn updates, Kaul has been closely involved with Pro Kabaddi League’s marketing function since August 2023. Before this elevation, he served as Associate Director and Head of Marketing at Mashal Sports for more than two years, where he led integrated brand campaigns, multi-platform marketing efforts, and collaborations with agencies, creators, and promotional partners. His work played a key role in shaping the league’s fan engagement and marketing visibility.
Kaul’s experience spans over a decade across sports, entertainment, and broadcast television networks. His longest stint was with Disney Star, where he spent nearly eight years rising from Manager Marketing to Senior Manager Marketing at Star Sports. During this time, he contributed to several marquee sports marketing initiatives and brand-building campaigns that strengthened the network’s position in the Indian sports ecosystem.
Before entering the sports broadcast segment, Kaul worked across prominent organisations including Channel V, TIMES NOW (Times Network), Ogilvy & Mather, and Percept/H. His early roles across brand communications, creative strategy, and integrated marketing helped him build a strong foundation that continues to shape his leadership approach in the sports marketing space.
With his move to JioStar, Kaul extends his long-standing relationship with Indian sports marketing into a larger, more strategic mandate. His appointment signals JioStar’s focus on strengthening the Pro Kabaddi League’s brand presence, expanding fan outreach, and driving the next phase of growth for the league.
