Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor are all set to share screen space in the upcoming romantic drama ‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan,’ which is now slated for a theatrical release in July.
The film, directed by Karan Sharma, marks a refreshing pairing and has already sparked curiosity among moviegoers.
According to a PTI report, the makers announced the release window on Monday, confirming that the film will arrive in cinemas this July, although an exact date is yet to be revealed. Produced under the banner of Dharmatic Entertainment and Viacom18 Studios, ‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’ is described as an intense love story that explores the fragility and strength of relationships in a modern setting.
This is Shanaya Kapoor’s debut feature film, and her pairing with Vikrant Massey — fresh off the critical and commercial success of ‘12th Fail’ — is being touted as one of the most anticipated fresh pairings of the year. The film reportedly weaves a tender story of emotional complexities and young love, set against a visually rich backdrop.
Speaking about the film earlier, director Karan Sharma shared that Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is a story “told through silences, stolen glances, and unspoken feelings”, aiming to capture the innocence and depth of first love in a contemporary world.
The film’s music is composed by Amit Trivedi, with lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya — promising an evocative soundtrack that aligns with the film’s emotional tone. Cinematographer Avinash Arun, known for ‘Masaan’ and ‘Drishyam 2,’ has lensed the film, which is expected to be a visual treat as well.
With buzz already building around its fresh casting and soulful treatment, ‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’ is gearing up to offer audiences a poignant romantic experience this monsoon season.
