Vijay Tandon has stepped down from his position as Chairman and Non-Executive Independent Director of Radio City, effective from the close of business hours on May 19, 2025. His resignation, which also includes relinquishing all roles held in various Board committees, comes in light of health-related concerns.
In an official press note issued by the company, it was confirmed that Tandon had submitted his resignation letter to the Board, stating his inability to continue in the role due to personal health reasons. The statement further clarified that there were no other material reasons behind the decision apart from those cited in his formal communication.
“It has been a privilege and an honour to be associated with the Company and to contribute to its growth and governance,” Tandon shared in his letter, extending his gratitude to fellow Board members, management, and stakeholders for their support throughout his tenure.
A respected veteran in the corporate and media industry, Vijay Tandon has been instrumental in steering Radio City’s governance framework and long-term strategic direction. His departure marks the end of a significant chapter in the company’s leadership. However, the company has not yet named a successor for the Chairman’s role.
With Tandon stepping down from all committee responsibilities effective immediately, the Board is expected to initiate the process of identifying suitable leadership to continue its governance and operational oversight. Radio City, a part of Music Broadcast Ltd., remains one of India’s leading radio networks, and the leadership change is expected to be a key development as the company continues to shape its next phase of growth.
