Varun Dhawan to lead YRF’s first horror film

Actor Varun Dhawan is set to headline Yash Raj Films’ (YRF) first-ever horror film, according to sources. The film will be directed by Abhay Pannu, best known for helming the 2025 biographical drama ‘The Mehta Boys’.

This project, according to an ANI report, marks YRF’s entry into the horror genre as the production house looks to expand its film slate with new and diverse stories.

The horror film is currently in the pre-production stage, with casting and other details expected to be announced in the coming months.

The makers are reportedly planning to begin filming after Varun Dhawan completes his ongoing projects.

Varun, who has explored action, comedy and drama in his career, will be seen taking on a horror role for the first time under the YRF banner.
