Havas Play, the specialist vertical of Havas India that focuses on building powerful brand experiences across sports, content, and entertainment, has brought Uditvanu Das on board as Associate Vice President (AVP). Das will work closely with the leadership team to accelerate the agency’s strategic push in these growing domains, offering brands a chance to create memorable consumer engagements.
According to a recent announcement shared by Das on LinkedIn, he described his move to Havas Play as joining a “rocketship” and expressed gratitude to Havas India CEO Rana Barua, Havas Media Group India CEO Mohit Joshi (MoJo), and Havas Media Group India COO Uday Mohan for the opportunity.
“Proud to be able to say, ‘je m’appelle Uditvanu, je travail pour Havas!’” Das wrote in a light-hearted post, blending his excitement with a nod to the French roots of the Havas Group. The appointment is being seen as a strategic move to boost the agency’s creative and commercial ambitions in non-traditional brand storytelling through sports IPs, cultural moments, live experiences, and digital-first entertainment formats.
With the convergence of marketing, entertainment, and fandom growing more intense than ever, Havas Play has carved out a distinct positioning in the Indian market. Uditvanu Das, known for his dynamic approach to experiential campaigns and brand partnerships, is expected to play a key role in building cross-platform IPs and scalable branded content formats.
Backed by Havas’ global Play model, which already operates in 20+ countries, the Indian division has quickly become a hub for innovation — having worked across high-impact partnerships in gaming, films, and live sports. Das’ entry into the mix adds strategic firepower at a time when brands are increasingly looking beyond traditional media to connect with young, experience-hungry audiences.
With over a decade of experience, Das has previously held leadership roles that bridged marketing, entertainment, and experiential storytelling, often building brand-led content ecosystems from scratch. His appointment is a reflection of Havas Play’s intent to double down on immersive engagement and make brand experiences culturally resonant and business-effective.
