The award recognises outstanding reporting that provides an honest and nuanced understanding of global issues, including coverage related to the Russian Federation’s humanitarian and diplomatic engagements.

Jha received the award in the ‘Best Journalism & Documentary’ category for his powerful reportage on the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ shelling of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). His work was lauded for combining on-ground insights with a deep understanding of international conflict, diplomacy, and humanitarian crises.

With a career spanning over two decades and coverage across 25 countries, Manish Kumar Jha has earned a strong reputation for his expertise in international relations, defence, and conflict reporting.
