TV9 Bangla marks Bengal govt’s 100 days with ‘Raj Bodoler 100 Din’

TV9 Bangla has organised a special event, ‘Raj Bodoler 100 Din’, to mark the first 100 days of the West Bengal government.

The event featured Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikary, 14 cabinet ministers, 21 MLAs and nine state ministers, along with government representatives, industry leaders, academics, entrepreneurs, analysts and other stakeholders.

According to a TV9 Bangla press release from Kolkata yesterday, the programme will be broadcast on TV9 Bangla from September 1 to 4 at 4:25 pm onwards, and on September 5 from 5:25 pm onwards.

The event began with the felicitation of Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikary by Barun Das, Managing Director and CEO of TV9 Network, along with K. Vikram, Chief Operating Officer, National & International, Corporate, TV9 Network; Sivananda L, Chief Financial Officer, TV9 Network; Amritanshu Bhattacharya, Managing Editor and Business Head, TV9 Bangla; and Devleena Sanyal Majumder, Chief Human Resource Officer, TV9 Network. This was followed by a lamp-lighting ceremony.

The event included one on one discussions with Swapan Dasgupta, Minister of Finance, Government of West Bengal; Subrata Gupta, IAS (Retd.), Special Advisor, Government of West Bengal; Ashoke Kirtania, Minister of Food and Supplies and Department of Co-operation; and Dilip Ghosh, who handles the Departments of Panchayats and Rural Development and Agricultural Marketing, according to the release.

The conclave also featured discussions with Dr. Sharadwat Mukherjee, Minister of Health & Family Welfare; Arjun Singh, Minister of Labour & Transport; Agnimitra Paul, Minister of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs; Dr. Indranil Khan, Minister of Youth Services and Sports and Department of Consumer Affairs; Tapas Roy, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Enterprises, Department of Public Enterprises and Industrial Reconstruction, and Department of Non-conventional and Renewable Energy Sources; Jagannath Chattopadhyay, Minister of Higher Education and Technical Education, Training and Skill Development; Dr. Shankar Ghosh, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Department of Tourism; and Dipak Barman, Minister of School Education.

Speaking about Bengal’s development, TV9 Network MD and CEO Barun Das said West Bengal needs a change in mindset to achieve its development goals. He called for moving from ‘We Can’t’ to ‘Can We?’ and eventually to ‘We Can’ and ‘We Will’.

During the event, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikary highlighted the government’s stated priorities, including industrial development, healthcare, education, good governance, empowerment and public welfare. He also spoke about efforts to tackle corruption, scams and irregularities.

Through ‘Raj Bodoler 100 Din’, TV9 Bangla said it aimed to provide a platform to assess the first 100 days of the new government and discuss Bengal’s future opportunities, challenges and aspirations.
