TV18’s news business witnessed a robust 23 percent growth in revenue during the third quarter of the current fiscal year. The network, India’s largest TV news network, reported a revenue of Rs 402 crore in Q3FY24, marking a substantial increase from Rs 327 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
According to the press release, TV18’s extensive news portfolio maintains its status as the highest-reaching TV news network in India, engaging with a staggering 175 million people nationwide every week. Comprising 20 news channels in 16 languages, the network’s success stems from its strong viewership gains and leading positions in key markets.
Noteworthy achievements include CNBC TV18 securing over 80 percent viewership share, News18 India dominating with a 13.8 percent evening primetime viewership share, and CNN-News18 capturing a substantial 33.2 percent viewership share, each holding the top spot in their respective segments. Additionally, TV18 holds leadership positions in three regional markets: UP/Uttarakhand, Bihar/Jharkhand, and Gujarat.
This impressive Q3FY24 performance follows a remarkable 20 percent revenue growth in Q2 FY24.
For the first nine months of the fiscal year, TV18’s news network posted a revenue of Rs 1095 crore, compared to Rs 891 crore in the same period last fiscal.

In parallel, the operating EBITDA for TV News Business exhibited substantial growth, reaching Rs 47 Cr in Q3FY24, compared to Rs 13 Cr in Q3FY23, marking an impressive 253% increase.
The group’s digital news business, under Network18, also witnessed a robust 20% growth. In Q3 FY24, the digital news platforms, including popular brands like Moneycontrol, News18.com, and Firstpost, generated a revenue of Rs 111 crore, up from Rs 92 crore in Q3 FY23.
Network18 maintained its position as the second-largest digital publisher in the country, boasting approximately 195 million unique visitors every month.
The group is strategically leveraging its content and products to further scale up in the digital space.
