Horror sequel ‘The Strangers: Chapter 2’ has made its debut on TVOD in India, becoming available for rental from December 8, 2025. The film can be streamed at a price of Rs.149 across major digital platforms including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV and Google/YouTube, bringing the next chilling instalment of the globally popular franchise to Indian audiences.
According to a press release, the much-anticipated sequel is directed by Renny Harlin and pushes the franchise into darker, more brutal territory. The story picks up as the masked killers discover that Maya, played by Madelaine Petsch, has survived their earlier attack. What follows is a relentless pursuit, as the Strangers return with renewed determination to finish what they started, leaving Maya with nowhere to hide and no one to trust.
The film stars Madelaine Petsch alongside Gabriel Basso and Richard Brake, and stays true to the series’ signature blend of psychological horror, sustained tension and visceral fear. As Maya is forced to endure another night of terror, the narrative escalates the sense of dread that has defined the franchise, with the killers driven by a chilling willingness to eliminate anyone who stands in their way.
Known for pushing the boundaries of the horror genre, ‘The Strangers: Chapter 2’ delivers an intense, edge-of-the-seat experience designed to keep viewers gripped throughout. With its TVOD release, the film extends the legacy of one of horror cinema’s most unsettling franchises, allowing fans and new viewers alike to experience the fear at their convenience on Amazon, Apple TV and Google/YouTube.
