Pakistani blockbuster ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’, starring Fawad Khan in the lead role, is all set to release in China on Thursday, marking another major international milestone for the film that became one of Pakistan’s biggest cinematic successes in recent years.
According to a PTI report, director Bilal Lashari expressed confidence that the film’s release in China could help create more opportunities for Pakistani cinema in the international market. The filmmaker said he was excited that audiences in another major territory would now get a chance to experience the film on the big screen.
“China is a big market for foreign films and I am confident they will appreciate ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ and pave the way open for other Pakistani films to be screened in China,” Lashari said while speaking about the release.
Ever since its original release, ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ has gained widespread attention for its scale, visuals, performances, and storytelling. The film, featuring Fawad Khan as Maula Jatt and Mahira Khan in a pivotal role, reimagined the cult Pakistani classic ‘Maula Jatt’ for modern audiences with a grand cinematic treatment.
