The much-awaited trailer of ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’, starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, was unveiled on Monday, setting off a wave of excitement among fans.
After delivering chartbuster tracks like ‘Panwadi’ and ‘Bijuria’, the film has already been buzzing in the industry, ANI reported from Mumbai.
The two-minute fifty-four second trailer opens with Dhawan’s character proposing to Sanya Malhotra, only to be rejected. His heartbreak deepens when she announces her marriage to Rohit Saraf — who, in a twist, happens to be the ex-boyfriend of Kapoor’s character.
What follows is a hilarious plan: Varun and Janhvi decide to pose as a fake couple to make their exes jealous and derail the wedding. But amid the staged romance and comic punches, the duo find themselves slipping into real love.
The trailer is packed with humour, from quirky dialogues to self-deprecating comedy. In one scene, Dhawan admits he is “middle-class,” revealing that his father only gave him Rs 50,000 a month as allowance, a line that’s already trending online.
Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the film is directed by Shashank Khaitan, best known for ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’. The film is slated for release on October 2, 2025.
