Suniel Shetty’s much-anticipated patriotic action film ‘Kesari Veer’ will now arrive in theatres on August 15, 2025, aligning its release with India’s Independence Day celebrations.
The period action-drama was earlier scheduled for a June release, but the makers have decided to postpone it to make the most of the national holiday weekend.
According to an ANI report, the film’s team made the decision to shift the release date to August 15 to honour the spirit of patriotism that the movie embodies. The new date also gives the production team more time to fine-tune the final cut and enhance the cinematic experience for audiences.
Directed by Mahesh V. Manjrekar, ‘Kesari Veer’ sees Suniel Shetty in a powerful role as a heroic soldier who defies odds and leads a fierce battalion during one of India’s most defining historical chapters. The film promises intense battle sequences, emotional drama, and a gripping narrative steeped in patriotic fervour.
The announcement was made via an official statement from the production house, which said, “We believe Kesari Veer deserves a release that resonates with its theme. What better occasion than Independence Day to present this story of courage and sacrifice to the nation.”
The film also stars actors Shivaleeka Oberoi, Karanvir Sharma, and Pradeep Rawat in pivotal roles. The trailer is expected to drop in July, setting the stage for a high-octane marketing campaign leading up to the Independence Day release.
With a strong blend of action, history, and national pride, ‘Kesari Veer’ aims to strike a deep emotional chord with viewers across generations. The film is produced by Akira Motion Pictures in association with Zee Studios.
