As per a press release, ‘Jatadhara’ is being produced by Zee Studios in collaboration with Prerna Arora, known for backing content-driven cinema. Touted as a unique supernatural thriller, the film blends mythology with suspense and horror, aiming to deliver a fresh cinematic experience to Telugu audiences. The striking first look reveals Sudheer Babu with ash smeared across his face, long matted hair, and intense eyes — a powerful visual that evokes both fear and intrigue.
The film marks another exciting addition to Sudheer Babu’s filmography, which has consistently featured action-packed and performance-heavy roles. In ‘Jatadhara’, he reportedly plays a deeply layered character connected to ancient spiritual forces, promising both physical and emotional intensity. While plot details have been kept under wraps, the makers hinted that the story will delve into the age-old battle between good and evil, portrayed through a gripping, supernatural lens.
Prerna Arora, who has previously produced acclaimed films like ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ and ‘Pari’, said in the release that Jatadhara will mark a new phase in genre storytelling for regional cinema. “The film has been conceptualized keeping in mind the audience’s growing appetite for mythological thrillers with a modern twist. With Sudheer Babu in the lead and a powerful script, we are confident that Jatadhara will break new ground,” she added.
Backed by Zee Studios’ strong production capabilities and Prerna Arora’s creative vision, ‘Jatadhara’ is currently in production and is expected to release in early 2025. The film is being shot on a grand scale with elaborate sets and VFX, designed to elevate the mystical atmosphere of the story.
