Airtel has appointed Suchita Salwan as its new Chief Customer Officer, entrusting her with the responsibility of driving growth and brand strategy across the company’s B2C portfolio.
The update was shared by Salwan herself through a LinkedIn post, where she expressed her excitement about taking on the role.
In her note, she wrote, “Thrilled to join Airtel as Chief Customer Officer, leading growth and brand across the B2C businesses. I optimise my work around three things: impact, independence and people. Airtel offers all three at a scale few companies can match, and I’m looking forward to building with a team known for its resilience and ambition. Let’s go!”
Salwan steps into the role with a strong entrepreneurial and leadership background. She is best known as the Founder and CEO of Little Black Book (LBB), a popular discovery and lifestyle platform that connected users with independent and emerging brands. During her tenure, LBB scaled to over 5 million monthly users, onboarded more than 3,000 brands, and launched Basecamp, India’s first accelerator program focused on emerging D2C labels. The platform was acquired by Nykaa in 2022, where it continues to operate independently.
After the acquisition, Salwan held key leadership roles at Nykaa, including Senior Vice President for Nykaa Luxe and Content & Brand Marketing. She led a team of over 250 across brand, content, marketing, and monetisation functions. Her work spanned organic growth, integrated campaigns, influencer-driven strategies, live experiences, and revenue-oriented content operations.
Before her entrepreneurial journey, she held marketing roles at BBC Entertainment India and was part of the creative operations team at Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. during the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
With her appointment, Airtel strengthens its leadership bench at a time when customer experience, digital-led growth, and brand differentiation continue to be central to the company’s strategy in the fiercely competitive B2C segment.
