In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the hit romantic thriller ‘Aitraaz’, renowned filmmaker Subhash Ghai has officially announced the film’s sequel, ‘Aitraaz 2’.
The original film, released on November 12, 2004, starred Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Kareena Kapoor Khan in pivotal roles, capturing audiences with its bold storyline on sexual harassment in the workplace, PTI reported from Mumbai.

Reflecting on her performance, Ghai shared how Chopra initially hesitated to take on such a daring role, but ultimately delivered an unforgettable performance. “BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL PRIYANKA CHOPRA DARED N DID IT,” Ghai wrote on Instagram, adding that her portrayal remains memorable even two decades later.
Ghai revealed that Mukta Arts has been working on the script for ‘Aitraaz 2’ for three years, ensuring a storyline that builds upon the legacy of the original film. “Now MUKTA ARTS is ready for AITRAAZ 2 with a finest script… Just wait n watch,” he teased in his Instagram post.
