Star Sports, the official broadcaster of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), has launched its first campaign film for the upcoming Season 11, featuring actor Riteish Deshmukh.
Set to kick off on October 18, 2024, the campaign immerses viewers in the fierce intensity of Kabaddi, portrayed through stunning visuals and the raw power of the sport.
In the action-packed promo, Riteish assumes the role of a lone warrior navigating an untamed jungle, showcasing the agility and stealth of a tiger. This metaphor reflects the sharp instincts, speed, and mental toughness required of Kabaddi champions.
The film captures the electrifying essence of the game, emphasizing that every move is critical, with decisions impacting the outcome of each match.
The gripping visuals are paired with an evocative soundtrack, heightening excitement for what promises to be the most thrilling season yet. To engage fans, Mashal Sports and Star Sports have launched the ‘Define Your Team’s Superpower’ campaign, allowing supporters to vote on their team’s strengths.
The response has been overwhelming, with Puneri Paltan and U Mumbai polls generating 105,000 votes, 1.12 million views, and significant engagement.
This season, PKL will adopt a three-city format, commencing at the GMC Balayogi Sports Complex in Hyderabad from October 18 to November 9. The league will then move to Noida Indoor Stadium for the second leg from November 10 to December 1, followed by the Badminton Hall at Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune from December 3 to December 24.
