Regional OTT platform STAGE and Sri Adhikari Brothers (SAB) have entered into a strategic partnership to create a large slate of premium original series focused on dialect-based entertainment, marking a significant move in India’s growing regional content market.

According to an ANI report, the collaboration aims to strengthen hyper-local storytelling by developing high-quality original shows across five regional dialects. The partnership brings together STAGE’s strong presence in the dialect entertainment space and Sri Adhikari Brothers’ decades-long experience in content creation and television broadcasting.

The alliance builds on the success of ‘MahaPunarjanam’, a show that received strong audience response on the platform. As part of the agreement, Sri Adhikari Brothers will significantly expand its content production efforts for STAGE, creating a diverse range of new-age stories tailored for regional audiences.

Founded in 2019, STAGE has established itself as a leading player in India’s regional OTT ecosystem by focusing on dialects such as Haryanvi, Rajasthani and Bhojpuri. The platform has carved out a niche by bringing local stories, cultures and languages to the forefront while serving millions of viewers across rural and semi-urban markets.

The company has witnessed rapid growth in recent years, driven by increasing smartphone penetration and rising demand for entertainment in native languages. Its content strategy has focused on giving regional dialects a larger platform and presenting them with production values comparable to mainstream entertainment.

Commenting on the partnership, Parveen Singhal, Chief Content Officer of STAGE, said the collaboration reflects the platform’s commitment to expanding the possibilities of dialect-based entertainment. He noted that the success of ‘MahaPunarjanam’ demonstrated the growing appetite among audiences in Bharat for compelling, high-quality stories told in their mother tongues.

Singhal added that STAGE’s expanding subscriber base is helping drive a cultural shift in regional entertainment and that partnering with an established content producer like Sri Adhikari Brothers would help scale this vision across multiple dialect markets.

Kailasnath Adhikari, Managing Director of Sri Adhikari Brothers, said the company has spent more than four decades understanding Indian audiences through storytelling. He highlighted the increasing importance of hyper-local markets in the evolving digital landscape and said the partnership with STAGE offers an opportunity to combine the group’s production expertise with a platform that has demonstrated a strong understanding of regional viewers.

The collaboration comes at a time when regional content is emerging as one of the fastest-growing segments in India’s OTT industry. With audiences increasingly seeking stories rooted in local culture, language and traditions, the partnership is expected to further accelerate the development of premium dialect-based entertainment and strengthen the presence of regional narratives in the digital streaming space.
