Srijith Jagdish has stepped into a new role as Senior Vice President – Entertainment Ad Sales at JioStar, taking on a wider mandate within the company’s commercial leadership. The appointment marks a significant progression in his career, which spans media monetisation, advertising revenue and brand leadership across multiple sectors.
The development was shared by Jagdish through a LinkedIn post, where he confirmed his transition into the senior leadership role. He was earlier heading Emerging Markets at JioStar, a responsibility he held for close to a year, and will now focus on driving the company’s entertainment advertising business at a time when ad-led growth remains central to broadcast and streaming platforms.
Before joining JioStar, Jagdish spent nearly three years at Disney+ Hotstar, where he played a key role in strengthening the platform’s advertising revenues. He led SMB Ads Revenue and earlier served as Director – LCS Ads Revenue, working across categories such as automotive, BFSI and food and beverage, and contributing to the platform’s broader monetisation strategy during a phase of rapid growth in digital video consumption.
Jagdish’s professional journey also includes a long and diverse stint at Mahindra and Mahindra, where he spent over 17 years in multiple leadership roles. During his time with the automotive major, he worked across brand management and sales, handling flagship SUV portfolios including Scorpio, Bolero and XUV, along with regional sales leadership and early management assignments that helped shape his commercial expertise.
With experience that bridges large-scale brand building and media monetisation, Jagdish’s elevation at JioStar comes as the company sharpens its focus on entertainment advertising. His appointment reflects the growing importance of seasoned revenue leaders who understand both advertiser needs and evolving audience behaviour in India’s increasingly competitive entertainment ecosystem.
